C.H. Spurgeon

Sinners, let me address you with words of life; Jesus wants nothing from you, nothing whatsoever, nothing done, nothing felt; he gives both work and feeling. Ragged, penniless, just as you are, lost, forsaken, desolate, with no good feelings, and no good hopes, still Jesus comes to you, and in these words of pity he addresses you, "Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out."

Heterosexual Titles Terminated

The Terminator has apparently terminated “from California schools” the use of “"Mom and Dad" as well as "husband and wife"” according to a recent article from http://www.worldnetdaily.com/.

The article proclaims:

“Analysts have warned that schools across the nation will be impacted by the decision, since textbook publishers must cater to their largest purchaser, which often is California, and they will be unlikely to go to the expense of having a separate edition for other states.

The bills signed by Schwarzenegger include SB777, which bans anything in public schools that could be interpreted as negative toward homosexuality, bisexuality and other alternative lifestyle choices.

There are no similar protections for students with traditional or conservative lifestyles and beliefs, however.

Also signed was AB394, which targets parents and teachers for such indoctrination through "anti-harassment" training, CCF said.

Thomasson said SB777 prohibits any "instruction" or school-sponsored "activity" that "promotes a discriminatory bias" against "gender" – the bill's definition includes cross-dressing and sex changes – as well as "sexual orientation."

"Because no textbook or instruction in California public schools currently disparages transsexuality, bisexuality, or homosexuality, the practical effect of SB777 will be to require positive portrayals of these sexual lifestyles at every government-operated school," CCF noted.

Thomasson said Schwarzenegger also signed AB14, which prohibits state funding for any program that does not support a range of alternative sexual practices, including state-funded social services run by churches.”

To note some hostility, and to whom it is from:

As WND reported, a board member for the homosexual advocacy group Equality California verbally attacked and threatened CRI for its opposition to the bill earlier.

The board member sent an e-mail and video to CRI threatening the group would be buried if it continued efforts opposing the homosexual advocacy.

"The shocking hate mail we received shows that those behind this legislation do not promote true tolerance," said England. "Only politically correct speech will be tolerated. Those with religious or traditional moral beliefs will not be allowed to express their opinions in public schools." ”

Yes, Tim. Propagating your homophobia by quoting Christian fundie, right-wing, moronic websites.

Try quoting from BBC for a change. Your homophobia is wearing thin, as evidenced by your ever-thinning audience.

Are these heterophobs?

The issue should not be what you believe I may or may not be propagating, but are the allocations presented by the writer(s) of the article true? And why such hostility from *loving* *tolerant* persons?

If these board members are threatened in anyway by pro gay groups, why aren't they turning the evidence to the police? Something to hide?

In any case, Christians lie all the time, often assuming the oppressed (hypocrites like yourself) hoping to earn sympathy or brownie points en route to heaven.

If you wish to talk about loving people, perhaps you want to check out what that gay-murdering Christian has to say after murdering his gay victim. I posted it on my blog.

He threatened that the "group would be buried"? That's it? He didn't threaten to hurt or injure anyone, he only threatened that he was going to win? That seems... like a pretty mundane threat. It's not he threatened to get a big group of gay men together to single out anti-gay Christians and beat them to death, which has happened in the opposite way hundreds of times.

"Gay" bashing also takes places among homosexuals themselves. To believe violence does not dwell within the lives of homosexuals, both toward themselves and heterosexuals is to deny the fact that homosexuals are as violent as heterosexuals, even against other homosexuals.

All these campaigns and counter campaigns based on a completely legal, sexual, consensual act is really getting on everyone's nerves.

Bantering aside, I think it is high time for conservatives to just let the issue rest.

America has got biggest problems to handle, such as not getting Republicans to win the next election, and getting the American troops back home.

Not to mention trying to get the American education system back on track.

I visited for three years. There are more atheist in prison then the numbers show. Most just do not participate in the surrey's and questioning. I didn't visit the jail though.
Inmates are the result of jails which operate as holding facilities and misdemeanor sentences while prison ,where I had the honor to visit, is where prisoners are detained. There is a difference. I can only assume that you have not worked there or you would see that in a pod of 112 men only 5 to 15 participate in services. The rest are sitting in cells, getting high, not following God, and most hate or do not believe in God. That is a fact that I had the chance to learn for myself. The statistics are geared at those who say they believe in something. None of them ask if they follow the god they believe in though. Huge difference in believing in and obeying Him.
Like wise here is a statistic for you beast. Over two-thirds(2/3) of inmates and prisoners will return to the institution which they were released with in three years.
However here is where it gets good. Of those who actively seek God and participate in church functions only 10% return to prisons with in the next year.(number are confirmed by faith based prisons)

Something seems to be working. Maybe when science can make a cure for those repeat offenders who seem to enjoy crime they can attempt to match the changing power God works in people. That won't happen though as only God changes people nature. Science can not do that at all nor will it ever.
You should read of the faith based Texas Prisons and how they are changing peoples lives by allowing God to reform there prisoners.
Here you are. Just click the link.http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/1120AP_God_Behind_Bars.html?source=mypi

Something seems to be working alright.....Texas is ranked eighth in America's crime index!

/crime/txcrime.html

If anything else, statistics have shown that the American states which are the most liberal are ironically the most crime free states.

Too bad for the fundies....seems to me they need the God drug and still turn to crimes. Sigh.

Bring on the marijuana please!

John Bunyan

To be saved is to be preserved in the faith to the end. 'He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.' (Mt. 24:13) Not that perseverance is an accident in Christianity, or a thing performed by human industry; they that are saved 'are kept by the power of God, through faith unto salvation.' (1 Pet. 1: 3-6) But perseverance is absolutely necessary to the complete saving of the soul…. He that goeth to sea with a purpose to arrive at Spain, cannot arrive there if he be drowned by the way; wherefore perseverance is absolutely necessary to the saving of the soul.
