C.H. Spurgeon
Sinners, let me address you with words of life; Jesus wants nothing from you, nothing whatsoever, nothing done, nothing felt; he gives both work and feeling. Ragged, penniless, just as you are, lost, forsaken, desolate, with no good feelings, and no good hopes, still Jesus comes to you, and in these words of pity he addresses you, "Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out."

John Bunyan
To be saved is to be preserved in the faith to the end. 'He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.' (Mt. 24:13) Not that perseverance is an accident in Christianity, or a thing performed by human industry; they that are saved 'are kept by the power of God, through faith unto salvation.' (1 Pet. 1: 3-6) But perseverance is absolutely necessary to the complete saving of the soul…. He that goeth to sea with a purpose to arrive at Spain, cannot arrive there if he be drowned by the way; wherefore perseverance is absolutely necessary to the saving of the soul.

As reviewed by Dawkins, the "Expelled" movie sucks bigtime.
Poor production, lousy scripts, amateurish taping......if this is what the religious right can muster to damage Science I think us atheists really have nothing to fear.
Beast
If I was Dawkins I would say the same thing. He looked FOOLISH to be kind!!
Science indeed! Little green men seeding our planet from outerspace? Well Mr Dawkins (yes, hard to call him a Dr when he sounds so amaturish) where did and how did this 'other' race evolve? You cannot even offer a reasonable explanation for lifes origin here, let alone somewhere else.
Maybe your comrade had it right...on the back of crystals!!!
Dawkins was exposed as a fool, so he denounces the movie...what a surprise!
Dawkins, a fool?
Before you start blasting off your nonsense, consider the following awards he has received:
1. Doctor of Science by the University of Oxford in 1989.
2. He holds honorary doctorates in science from the University of Westminster, Durham University, and the University of Hull, and an honorary doctorate from the Open University and from the Vrije Universiteit Brussel.
3. He also holds honorary doctorates of letters from the University of St Andrews and the Australian National University, and was elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature in 1997 and the Royal Society in 2001.
4. In 1987, Dawkins received a Royal Society of Literature award, and a Los Angeles Times Literary Prize for his book, The Blind Watchmaker. In the same year, he received a Sci. Tech Prize for Best Television Documentary Science Programme of the Year, for the BBC Horizon episode entitled The Blind Watchmaker.
5. His other awards have included the Zoological Society of London Silver Medal (1989), the Michael Faraday Award (1990), the Nakayama Prize (1994), the Humanist of the Year Award (1996), the fifth International Cosmos Prize (1997), the Kistler Prize (2001), the Medal of the Presidency of the Italian Republic (2001), and the Bicentennial Kelvin Medal of The Royal Philosophical Society of Glasgow (2002).
6. Dawkins topped Prospect magazine's 2004 list of the top 100 public British intellectuals, as decided by the readers, receiving twice as many votes as the runner-up. He has been short-listed as a candidate in their 2008 follow-up poll.
7. In 2005, the Hamburg-based Alfred Toepfer Foundation awarded him its Shakespeare Prize in recognition of his "concise and accessible presentation of scientific knowledge". He won the Lewis Thomas Prize for Writing about Science for 2006 and the Galaxy British Book Awards Author of the Year Award for 2007.
8. In the same year, he was listed by Time magazine as one of the 100 most influential people in the world in 2007,and was awarded the Deschner Prize, named after Karlheinz Deschner.
Now who's the fool?
Beast
Beast, his accolades are wonderful.
However, Pauling was a Nobel prize winner and went out as a raving lunatic.
Dawkins showed his foolishness in that clip and he contradicted himself and his prior positions, all the while maintaining an air of utter arrogance.
You asked, "now who is the fool"....same as before. DAWKINS, LITTLE GREEN MEN??? HAHA HA HA...wow. He and Crick, brilliant men who let worldview cloud reason, and foolishness shine forth.
The film "Expelled" was a poorly made film, and was designed to put secular scientists in a very bad light.
I have read his books, and watched him in videos, and if he is deigned to be "foolish", then I will venture to say that there are few amongst us that are considered "smart".
Beast
Beast, foolish and smart are not antonyms. I think your confused here. Nor are smart and wise synonyms.
There are many many bright guys and gals that are plane and simply fools. Dawkins is clearly in that camp.

DRD:
As with our previous conversations tis clear that you are deluded.
Perhaps a little trip into the world of oxford's dictionary can give you a better idea?
Beast
After reading your commentary on your blog, it just as easily can be applied both ways. To twist data to any worldview is 'tomfoolery', and evolutionist and secularists do that all the time.
Behe is not 'disclaimed', his ID theory is not supported by his collegues or the college. That is not 'disowning' Behe. You stretch that a bit.
Lastly, what does your blog have to do with the insane and foolish comments of Dawkins in that movie and other places where he claims intelligent design on one hand, then denies it on the other. He invokes little green men, and refuses to acknowledge the sheer foolishness of that proposal?
Where do you address this mud puddle of insanity?
Exactly what word do you need Oxfords or Websters to help you with Beast?
I would be glad to help you out, just as in the past when you're confused or out of your element.
The true is simple, Dawkins made some statements that are indefensible, and you have offered nothing but his credentials.
Well, beast, thats a 'what you did yesterday does not matter' area. He made comments that are ludicrous, and his credentials cannot cover for them.
DRD:
I always win.
