C.H. Spurgeon

Sinners, let me address you with words of life; Jesus wants nothing from you, nothing whatsoever, nothing done, nothing felt; he gives both work and feeling. Ragged, penniless, just as you are, lost, forsaken, desolate, with no good feelings, and no good hopes, still Jesus comes to you, and in these words of pity he addresses you, "Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out."

Romans 1: The Reprobate Mind

Please take a gander over at Right Michigan.

Apparently, there was that spirit of antichrist in their last church service:

On Sunday morning, amidst worshiping congregants and following unifying prayers that our President-elect be granted wisdom as he prepares to lead our nation through difficult global, social and economic challenges, the Michigan left declared open war on peaceful church goers.

They did it with banners, chants, blasphemy, by storming the pulpit, by vandalizing the church facility, by potentially defiling the building with lewd, public, sex acts and by intentionally forcing physical confrontations with worshipers.

Extremists Boast: Bash Back Lansing

Meanwhile, with the guards pre-occupied by the distraction, over a dozenqueers had put on their Sunday-best and infiltrated the church’scongregation.

A group stood up, declared themselves fags, and began screaming loudly.Upon hearing the loud interruption, other affinity groups went intoaction. A team that had been hiding under the pews in the closed-offbalcony dropped a banner and pulled back the curtains to reveal “IT’S OKAYTO BE GAY! BASH BACK!”.

In the words of an atheist blogger: 'Know them by their deeds.'

Its about time, I say. Let the church suffer the consequences of its own dirty, homophobic and racist campaigns.

So your stance is tolerance of sin, but no tolerance of righteousness?

BEAST FCD said...

What really is sin, Tim?

Just mere transgressions of an imagined deity who supposedly fusses over his tiny minions, i.e homo sapiens.

There are crimes, there are misdemeanors, but there is only one sin in my vocabulary: The Sin of Stupidity.

In my book, you should be roasting in my hell a billion times over.

James 1:

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

1 John 3:4
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

Are you sure you want your bible to be the standard barometer for morals?

1. Witches
You should not let a sorceress live. (Exodus 22:17)

2. Homosexuals
"If a man lies with a male as with a women, both of them shall be put to death for their abominable deed; they have forfeited their lives." (Leviticus 20:13 )

3. Fortunetellers
A man or a woman who acts as a medium or fortuneteller shall be put to death by stoning; they have no one but themselves to blame for their death. (Leviticus 20:27)

4. Adulterers
If a man commits adultery with another man's wife, both the man and the woman must be put to death. (Leviticus 20:10)

5. Fornicators
A priest's daughter who loses her honor by committing fornication and thereby dishonors her father also, shall be burned to death. (Leviticus 21:9 )

6. Nonbelievers (Inclusive of those who do not believe in Christianity)
They entered into a covenant to seek the Lord, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul; and everyone who would not seek the Lord, the God of Israel, was to be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman. (2 Chronicles 15:12-13 )

7. False Prophets
If a man still prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall say to him, "You shall not live, because you have spoken a lie in the name of the Lord." When he prophesies, his parents, father and mother, shall thrust him through. (Zechariah 13:3 )

8. Female non-Virgins on Wedding Nights (I think that includes virgin asses too.)
But if this charge is true (that she wasn't a virgin on her wedding night), and evidence of the girls virginity is not found, they shall bring the girl to the entrance of her fathers house and there her townsman shall stone her to death, because she committed a crime against Israel by her unchasteness in her father's house. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst. (Deuteronomy 22:20-21 )

9. Death for Blasphemy
One day a man who had an Israelite mother and an Egyptian father got into a fight with one of the Israelite men. During the fight, this son of an Israelite woman blasphemed the LORD's name. So the man was brought to Moses for judgment. His mother's name was Shelomith. She was the daughter of Dibri of the tribe of Dan. They put the man in custody until the LORD's will in the matter should become clear. Then the LORD said to Moses, "Take the blasphemer outside the camp, and tell all those who heard him to lay their hands on his head. Then let the entire community stone him to death. Say to the people of Israel: Those who blaspheme God will suffer the consequences of their guilt and be punished. Anyone who blasphemes the LORD's name must be stoned to death by the whole community of Israel. Any Israelite or foreigner among you who blasphemes the LORD's name will surely die. (Leviticus 24:10-16)

10. Sons of Sinners
Make ready to slaughter his sons for the guilt of their fathers; Lest they rise and posses the earth, and fill the breadth of the world with tyrants. (Isaiah 14:21)

Like I said, Tim, when the churches start to campaign against human rights and universal suffrage, then don't be surprised if liberals come up to the church aisles and start picketing your beloved churches.

Play with fire, be prepared to suffer the consequences. Don't want the gays to start messing with the pulpit? Simple. Just shut up.

If I had been raised during the OT Jews, I would have needed to follow your 10 points of Scripture.

With Christ has come a period of grace. Not that sin is no longer sin, but a chance to escape punishment by putting faith in Jesus Christ.

As for as your other comment concerning homosexuals...they received less Biblical rebuke when they were in the closet. Now that they demand acceptance of immorality, they are beginning to show 'the reprobate mind' in attacking the very source of forgiveness - salvation through Christ.

Assuming the OT doesn't count, WHY ARE YOU AND YOUR FELLOW CHRISTIANS STILL QUOTING THE OT for your moral codes? I asked many times, but no rational answer from you or any of your brethren.

"s for as your other comment concerning homosexuals...they received less Biblical rebuke when they were in the closet. Now that they demand acceptance of immorality, they are beginning to show 'the reprobate mind' in attacking the very source of forgiveness - salvation through Christ"

Yes, Tim. Anyone who attacks your religion becomes a "reprobate".When you attack people for their sexual orientation, you become a saint. It sounds rational in your warped, putrid little fantasy world, but small-minded people and their narrow minded thinking don't really cut it in the real world.

Get real, Tim. We are not living in the Bronze Age, the Stone Age or any age that practice your kind of nonsense.

If Jebus is what you seek, go commit suicide and join him in paradise. You and your irk have no place on this planet we call home (Oh, yes, you have your heaven. Now go and leave us infidels in peace)

John Bunyan

To be saved is to be preserved in the faith to the end. 'He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.' (Mt. 24:13) Not that perseverance is an accident in Christianity, or a thing performed by human industry; they that are saved 'are kept by the power of God, through faith unto salvation.' (1 Pet. 1: 3-6) But perseverance is absolutely necessary to the complete saving of the soul…. He that goeth to sea with a purpose to arrive at Spain, cannot arrive there if he be drowned by the way; wherefore perseverance is absolutely necessary to the saving of the soul.
