Revisiting the mission field of La Ciudad, Mexico 2008
The initial trip of our church in 2006 was but a few people. Joining the missionary in Mexico, they prayed that God would lead them to a place we could share the gospel of Jesus Christ. It was then that La Ciudad was laid upon their hearts.In July 2007 we returned, both with persons of our church and a sister church, with a total of twenty-two desiring to see how God could use us to share the gospel message of Jesus Christ.

Gee, your church pastors aren't doing a lot of fine work, amigos.
Or maybe, just maybe, the Mexicans are just not as dumb as you think they are!

wow, that's awesome! 22 people got saved? cool. idk what exactly what we'll be doing when we go to mexico, but i think we'll mostly just be helping out with the kids at the orphanage. idk if i'll get to witness to anyone or not, but that would be cool if i did! i'm just not sure i would be very good at presenting the gospel to people.

1 Peter 3:15 says, 'sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.'
In 1 Corinthians 15, Paul declares unto us the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is:
1. Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures
2. he was buried
3. he rose again the third day according to the scriptures
4. His resurrection was witnessed by multitudes of people
You know these things already, and as a Christian the Holy Spirit dwells in you. You don't need a certain list of Scriptures, developed guidelines to follow, written prayers to quote, or have to know all the salvation passages by heart.
By simply giving of yourself to minister to those children in the name of Christ is in and of itself a witness. I suppose you may very well be able to witness to those who do not know Christ. It may be a little difficult, a little shy, but allow the Holy Spirit within you to give you the words to say and speak them because you know God is real, Christ lives, and the Spirit gives witness that He will work through His Word and you to have others come to know Him as Lord and Savior.
Be prayerful and obedient to His Word, and He will guide and direct your feet and your tongue. We (including me) are often timid when we should be declaring the gospel. The gospel is shared in many ways and forms, and I am confident that you could do just as well as anyone else in sharing it with the people and children of the orphanage. Know why? Because I believe God will be right there with you.
Please let me know before you all go, and keep a journal that others may hear of your adventure.
