C.H. Spurgeon

Sinners, let me address you with words of life; Jesus wants nothing from you, nothing whatsoever, nothing done, nothing felt; he gives both work and feeling. Ragged, penniless, just as you are, lost, forsaken, desolate, with no good feelings, and no good hopes, still Jesus comes to you, and in these words of pity he addresses you, "Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out."

False Prophet Kills Homosexual Claiming God Said To

Again we have a misrepresentation of God and the New Testament Scripture concerning how we are to live our lives as Christians. Any honest Christian or Atheist knows a person which claims “I believe I'm Elijah, called by God to be a prophet”, going around planning and desiring to kill a homosexual (or anyone) with a desire as, “I planned on sending him to hell”, is clearly confused to the Biblical message of Christ in the New Testament of Scripture.

Scripture clearly notes that there are false prophets, false teachers, false Christs, and false doctrine which was even prevalent during the days of Christ. Interestingly noted is that this false prophet apparently said, “God first commanded him to kill during a "visitation," or dream, while he was in prison in 2001.” Why would God make a “house call” to give him a job opposed to what He has openly revealed in the New Testament? Sorry, that is not the character of God.

Christians, we need to ensure that we follow the Scripture, by studying, meditating, prayer, and reading what God has given us in the New Testament. The unbeliever will easily use these types of acts to mock and speak ill of Christianity, so we must ensure our lives give example to that which Christ spoke of in His Word. No, we are not perfect, and the lost will always find fault in us to ease their conscience, but we are to be a light to darkness, not do that which is contrary to Scripture and claim God said to do it or that it is okay.

If we sin, let’s admit that we have sinned and repent and ask for forgiveness.

Sam Harris was absolutely spot on when he lamented that moderates who keep preaching the bible are going to inspire extremists of this nature to justify their actions.

As long as moderate preachers keep referring to Romans to justify their anti homo claims, there will be folks like this guy who will do want the bible says they must do: Kill the gays.

From a biblical point of view, I can't say the murderer is wrong either.

The solution? Dump religion, and dump the stupid bible.

Oh, by the way, I posted a reply to your post on atheistrevolution. You can check it out.

Like I said, I will stick to you like I said I will. That makes me a man of honor, not a hypocrite like you claim I am.

Anyway, you piss me off. So you have it coming.

Yeah, I saw your comment, but there wasn't much to it and it doesn't really bother me.

And your rage against me is really unneccesary anger really directed against God. Truth upsets you, but accepting Jesus Christ as Savior will release that.

Glad you read it. I posted my opinions of that issue on my blog too, plus one really cool photo to boot.

Truth is, I think you are being egocentric here. Are you saying that you are the equivalent of Gawd? How can my anger towards you be equivalent to.......Gawd? Are you saying that you are Gawd, or you are a close relative to him?

Please clarify.

You completely missed what I said. Since you obviously dislike the idea of God, you easily dislike those that proclaim Him and/or what they say regarding Him. It has nothing to do with me being equal with God, for I would never even assume as much.

Beast... your anger is disturbing to say the least. And your lack of manners is even worse.

May the Holy Spirit infect your heart with wisdom, truth, and peace!

Bdawg, A.K.A. BWC, A.K.A. the guy who has been kicked off atheist revolution twice now because of Vjack's biggotry, intolerance, and inconsistant enforcement of his own posting rules.

One more thing, truth does not upset me.

In fact, nothing illuminates the mind more than pure, unadulterated truth.

Why you moronic Christians will claim exclusivity to truth is beyond me. So far, you haven't present to me a shred of evidence regarding your claims on God, or even evidence to discredit Evolution, which you happily believe except the parts that kind of contradicts your worldview.

You want truth? Choose Science. Now that is an honest pursuit for truth. That bible of yours, written by uneducated mules in the dessert a couple of thousand years ago, is trash, not truth.

The biblical writers' wisdom (notice I said wisdom) far surpasses anything you could ever imagine Beast. For their wisdom is of God, something you know not of.

Oh, this murderer wasn't obeying the scripture?

Leviticus 20:13 If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.
Ye shall therefore keep all my statutes, and all my judgments, and do them

Please explain to me how he wasn't following your murderous religion? Or are you one of these christians who thinks he knows which parts of the bible count and which don't? Because, you know, you're better qualified to say what should be in "god's written word" than god is.

And in the New Testament, gays and their supporters are worthy of death:

Romans 1:31 Without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them.

Give me a break, Tim.

I studied this bullshit for ten years, and I can't find an ounce of wisdom in this bullshit.

There is more wisdom is the US Constitution than 10,000 bibles.

You want wisdom? Try Sun Tzu's art of war. Japanese military leaders who led the surprised assault on Pearl Harbour swore that it works. And great military thinkers like Mao Zedong read it. I am not sure its a required read for US military readers, but most officer training schools require their cadets to read this. Is brilliant.

"You want truth? Choose Science."

Scientific Fraud

...because science has so much to do with truth. You are blind to the obvious. The lesson you have yet to learn: don't trust anyone. Seek things out for yourself. Having done so, you have turned science into your god and are making the same mistake you did when you were a Christian.

Don't follow science (as it will fail to explain everything and abuse the numbers), but do follow logic through demonstration.

Don't follow Christians (as they will fail to explain everything and abuse the word), but do follow the when you're instincts remind you that there are things outside the abilities of science.

The funny thing is that, the Korean fraud was exposed by the scientific community.

Science is an honest endeavor: Fraudsters of this sort are more likely to be exposed than religious frauds.

That is because science is regulated by intellectuals, while religion operates by mere blind faith.

Frauds there will be, but science is better adept at sieving them out.

I will still choose science anyday.

The Lord knows the thoughts of man; he knows that they are futile. Psalm 94:11
It is important to note that Bill Wilson's faith system was not based on Jesus Christ and Him crucified; nor is there any mention of Jesus Christ being the Savior from his sin. Both he and Bob Smith (co-founder of AA) embraced and promoted a variety of spiritual experiences, which included practicing spiritualism and conversing with the dead (which the Bible forbids) and being heavily involved in séances. Wilson also acted as a medium or channeler. It was while involved in these types of religious experiences, not Biblical Christianity, that Wilson developed his Twelve Steps (Pass It On, pp 156, 198, 275, 278).

John Bunyan

To be saved is to be preserved in the faith to the end. 'He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.' (Mt. 24:13) Not that perseverance is an accident in Christianity, or a thing performed by human industry; they that are saved 'are kept by the power of God, through faith unto salvation.' (1 Pet. 1: 3-6) But perseverance is absolutely necessary to the complete saving of the soul…. He that goeth to sea with a purpose to arrive at Spain, cannot arrive there if he be drowned by the way; wherefore perseverance is absolutely necessary to the saving of the soul.
