C.H. Spurgeon

Sinners, let me address you with words of life; Jesus wants nothing from you, nothing whatsoever, nothing done, nothing felt; he gives both work and feeling. Ragged, penniless, just as you are, lost, forsaken, desolate, with no good feelings, and no good hopes, still Jesus comes to you, and in these words of pity he addresses you, "Him that cometh unto me I will in no wise cast out."

Homosexual Indoctrination: The Three Fold Secret Ops

For more than 20 years, I and a few of my colleagues in the field of psychoanalysis have felt like an embattled minority, because we have continued to insist, against today's conventional wisdom, that gays aren't born that way. - Charles W. Socarides, M.D.

“These activists got the media and the money to radicalize America-by processes known as desensitization, jamming and conversion.”

“They would desensitize the public by selling the notion that gays were "just like everyone else." This would make the engine of prejudice run out of steam, i.e., lull straights into an attitude of indifference.”

“They would jam the public by shaming them into a kind of guilt at their own "bigotry."”

“Finally-this was the process they called conversion-Kirk and Madsen predicted a mass public change of heart would follow, even among bigots, "if we can actually make them like us." They wrote, "Conversion aims at just this...conversion of the average American's emotions, mind, and will, through a planned psychological attack, in the form of propaganda fed to the nation via the media."”

And, when homosexuality takes on all the aspects of a political movement, it, too, becomes a war, the kind of war in which the first casualty is truth, and the spoils turn out to be our own children. An exaggeration? Well, what are we to think when militant homosexuals seek to lower the age of consensual sexual intercourse between homosexual men and young boys to the age of 14 (as they did in Hawaii in 1993) or 16 (as they tried to do in England in 1994)? In the Washington March for Gay Pride in 1993, they chanted, "We're here. We're queer. And we're coming after your children."”

“Now we are getting reports, even in such gay publications as The Journal of Homosexuality, that the gay-gene studies and the gay-brain studies do not stand up to critical analysis. (The author of one so-called "gay-gene theory" is under investigation by the National Institutes of Health for scientific fraud.)”

Strange indeed.

Considering that gays "ain't born that way", how would you explain animals(and that includes the lovable penguins, bees, bisons, flamingos, etc) who turn gay? Did they "choose" to be gay?

As it stands now, even if people choose to be gay, what crimes have they committed, save the incessant biblical rules of the stupid scripture?

If bible laws are to be upheld, would you consider stoning to death those thousands of police officers and medics who slog through thousands of Sabbaths just to save the asses of possibly thousands of people, as the bible would have you do?

Much has been said about how gays are born the way they are, or whether its a choice, but now I post to you this: Are the actions of two consensual adults any of your fucking business. Did any gays in the gay movement ever attempt to convert you to be gay, or do they just want to be accepted just as every heterosexual?

These are questions that you, Splinter never ask, and I guess being dogmatic about issues without really understanding them is usually the case.

God is basically the reason we disagree when it comes to homosexuality. Sin is sin regardless if someone asks me to join in or accept it or not.

You have chosen to believe there is no God, therefore you look at homosexuality as a choice that as long as it is not harming anyone, in your mind, should not be spoken against or denied.

I have chosen to believe in God, therefore acknowedlge His Word which defines homosexuality as an act of sin that will be judged by a Holy God. Because God has said it is a sin, I cannot speak as though it is morally right or act as if it is acceptable and equal to the heterosexual lifestyle.

Simply as a Christian homosexuality is a sin before the eyes of a Holy God reguardless of how I or anyone feels about it, whether for or against it. For this cause no Christian that accepts Scripture as the Word of God can possibility claim that homosexuality is okay, reguardless of how it personally effects them.

Well, what do you call this: "In the Washington March for Gay Pride in 1993, they chanted, "We're here. We're queer. And we're coming after your children."

What would you say if you saw Christians chanting the same thing?

"Did they "choose" to be gay?"

Since it cannot be proven scientifically at this time it is fruitless to argue are over the mating habits of the animal kingdom. Rationalizing something as being true does not make it so.

Suffice to say that Christians feel confident that the current data, with regards to the strides being made in psychoanalysis, will be enough for us to remain in unison with the biblical view of homosexuality.

This is all Christian propaganda, Sean. Never have I heard a gay talk about converting kids to gays. Christians lie all the time Sean, they even say Charles Darwin recanted on his deathbed, which he clearly did not.

The vast majority of pyschologists and pyschiatrists do not regard homosexual behaviour as a mental illness, although it has been shown that religious beliefs in hell can cause mental abuse in children as well as adults (Read Dawkin's God Delusion. There is a chapter that addresses that).

My argument here is simple: Live and let live. These gays haven't done anything as bad as the Christians. They don't bomb no abortion clinics, proselytize and talk about killing people in the name of God. I much prefer the gay movement to the evangelistic nuts who spread lies and falsehoods all over the place.

Regardless where the Sabbath day is, would you consider sending cops and medics to an ignominous death by stoning? I mean the bible calls for that, you know?

Splinter:

You have simply admitted to the fact that gays are wrong because the bible says so.

Like I reiterated, using the bible solely as grounds for objecting to the gay movement is simply a poor reasoning tool, because the bible itself is full of erroneous laws. If, as the bible says, gays should be put to death, then disobedient children and people who work on Sabbaths should join the queue. How many people do you wish to slaughter in the name of God???

I agree that the evidence is slim for the conversion the Darwin.

"The vast majority of pyschologists and pyschiatrists do not regard homosexual behaviour as a mental illness"

I could agree with you on this point if you can provide evidence that this is the case. However, even if they all agree it doesn't make their belief correct as majority consensus does not make an assertion fact.

"They don't bomb no abortion clinics, proselytize and talk about killing people in the name of God."

I don't condone those actions (as if I should have assert that), but there is some troubling data concerning the gay community. For example here
and the recent case involving the AIDS infected deliberately passing on the disease to another.

Biblical history is important here. Ancient Israel was a theocracy. Modern Christians do not belong that theocracy nor do we follow the laws set in place and neither do we wish to revive them.

Therefore, each time you bring up your argument regarding stoning someone for this or that you are engaging in a "straw man" argument.

Your premise is flawed, therefore your conclusion is flawed.

"You have simply admitted to the fact that gays are wrong because the bible says so."

You have shown insufficient authority through logic for us to believe otherwise. Even from a utilitarian aspect your argument fails since we've established that homosexuality works against propagation.

In this case, the best you can provide is this: "As an academic scientist, I am a passionate Darwinian. ... But, at the same time, as I support Darwinism as a scientist, I am a passionate anti-Darwinian when it comes to politics and how we should conduct our human affairs."

A Devil's Chaplain, p. 10.

"...the bible itself is full of erroneous laws."

You cannot prove that statement, but I can prove otherwise using the tool the evolution. If gays are biologically deficient, then how can the law be erroneous. For that you must engage in anti-evolution.

Looks like you guys are tripping all over yourselves trying to demean gays.

Sean, you said:

"As an academic scientist, I am a passionate Darwinian. ... But, at the same time, as I support Darwinism as a scientist, I am a passionate anti-Darwinian when it comes to politics and how we should conduct our human affairs."

First of all, you must understand that Darwinism is not a religion. Scientists who study evolution are kind of like people who study physics: They don't worship physics, they observe the phenomenon, record it and present it as science.

Evolution is not a religion. One can study and believe in evolution without liking it.

Evolution is definitely a flaw, and because of this, lends greater credence to the "Intelligent DEsign" theory. One could even surmise that if there indeed was a design, it would have been unintelligent in every way.

John Bunyan

To be saved is to be preserved in the faith to the end. 'He that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.' (Mt. 24:13) Not that perseverance is an accident in Christianity, or a thing performed by human industry; they that are saved 'are kept by the power of God, through faith unto salvation.' (1 Pet. 1: 3-6) But perseverance is absolutely necessary to the complete saving of the soul…. He that goeth to sea with a purpose to arrive at Spain, cannot arrive there if he be drowned by the way; wherefore perseverance is absolutely necessary to the saving of the soul.
